Caproni to four years in prison for submitting false declarations to the Court in connection with a civil lawsuit. CARRINGTON previously pled guilty to making a false declaration before a court. U.S. Attorney Damian Williams said: “Rovier Carrington submitted fake evidence and lied in an effort to win a $100 million sexual assault lawsuit. Carrington now faces prison time for his brazen attempt to manipulate the court system.” According to the Indictment and statements made in court proceedings and filings: CARRINGTON filed a civil lawsuit (the “Civil Case”) in which he accused Hollywood executives of sexually assaulting and defrauding him. CARRINGTON sought $100 million in damages in the Civil Case. To support his allegations, CARRINGTON submitted several falsified email chains that purported to show that he had been sexually assaulted and defrauded. When confronted about those fake emails, CARRINGTON submitted a false affidavit to the Court in the Civil Case, swearing that the emails were real. To cover up his lie, CARRINGTON deleted two of the email accounts, returned the phone he had used to send the emails to Apple, and failed to appear for the Court’s questioning about the emails.
